During the colder months it is important to ensure children are eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables which will supply them with the nutrients and vitamins important for maintaining a healthy immune system.

Bright coloured vegetables and fruits such as capsicum, broccoli, carrot, oranges, kiwi fruits and strawberries (to name a few) are a power source of these vital nutrients.

If breastfeeding, it is important to include these fresh foods in the Mums diet too, as the nutrients will be absorbed into the breast-milk and help your baby's immunity.
